of Architectural Section in the Ministry of
Municipal Affairs of the State of Qatar to the
position of the Managing Director of the self-owned,
leading Architectural Consultancy firm in Qatar.
This career growth earned in less that thirteen
years gives ample proof of his excellent
Architectural skills and unique Managerial vision.
Arab Engineering
Bureau, established in 1966, was the first firm of
its kind to be established in the State of Qatar.
He took over this firm in 1991, when it was a small
team of only Six Employees engaged only in
Architectural Design and Supervision of projects.
He gave AEB a new philosophy and direction and under
his able leadership, Arab Engineering Bureau has
developed into a Multi-disciplinary Consulting firm
over the years.
Currently, AEB
has a large number of Multi-million mega projects to
its credit, both inside the State of Qatar and at
various International locations and employs more
than Ninety Architects, Engineers and other skilled
personnel.
As the Managing
Director of Arab Engineering Bureau,
he dedicates his efforts to enhance the
architectural style of modern Qatar while preserving the
essential elements of traditional Qatari Architecture
and thereby increasing the community awareness of the
importance of preserving the great architectural legacy
of Qatar.
Has extensive knowledge on the Cultural Heritage of
Qatar and his passion for research is reflected in the
fact that AEB has an exclusive department devoted to
conducting Research and studies on Qatari Architecture.
Studies are now underway to publish a book on this
subject. This book is expected to become “The
Reference Book” on Qatari Architecture.
Apart from managing
the daily-business affairs of the firm, he devotes time
to get personally involved in all the projects
undertaken by the firm right from the inception stage
through the handover stage. He personally meets
the Clients, makes Presentations, and monitors the
progress of projects with reports from all Project
Managers.
AEB has completed
more than Three hundred projects since 1991 and this
includes buildings of all categories from Residential,
Commercial, and Retail developments to majestic Palaces,
Towers, and Cultural Centers, Industrial buildings,
Stadium, Sports Facilities, Libraries, Embassy buildings
etc.
