Mr. Abdulla Nasser Al Misnad being the Chairman and Managing Director of Al Khalij Holding spearheaded the growth of the company since its formation.
Al Khalij Holding Company established in May 2006 is a public share holding company listed in the Doha Security Market having now a capital of 1.2 billion Qatari Riyals. It is well established in the business world and strives to achieve further success as a dynamic company which aims to achieve and sustain total quality through the different business activities of its group of companies
The two main companies under Al Khalij Holding are:
1) Al Khalij Industry Company
The Al Khalij Industry Company forms partnerships at national and international levels covering all industrial activities. It offers a systematic approach by strengthening local capacities to meet the wide variety of technical standards and conformity requirements in setting up industries of international standards. Some of the activities are mentioned bleow:
- Involved in the manufacturing of Cement and establishing factories for cement and related products it launched the Green Field Cement Project providing quality products manufactured by adopting nature friendly environment protection strategies, bringing Best Available Technology to the Nation. The cement factory operating under it has a clinkerisation unit, based on modern Rotary kiln Technology, with a guaranteed capacity of 5000 metric tons per day.
- It also represents reputed international companies in the area of cement manufacturing for import and export. Other cement products available are white and petroleum cement varieties such as standard portland white cement, gray portland cement, mineral resistant cement.
- Today’s construction requires innovative architectural techniques and steel plays a major part in bringing this to reality. Having a full fledged workshop in Qatar, the Structural Steel Engineering Company operating under Al Khalij Industry has undertaken many highly complex and prestigious projects in Qatar. Since its beginning as a steel erection company, it has grown to undertake a far wider role including structural design, engineering and steel works fabrication to enhance onsite erection ability. Also diversified into mechanical plant erection work for power generation and is moving towards the oil & gas sector.
2) Al Khalij Investment Company
The Al Khalij Investment Company has developed its expertise on the basis of its operational experience in the dynamic, fast growing business market. Al Khalij Investment Company and its affiliates undertake the development of major projects in joint venture with both international and national companies and suppliers.
