Sheikh Nawaf joined NBK & Sons Group of Companies in 1983 after completing his Business Studies in the UK , the Group founded in 1950 consists of 13 companies dealing in construction, industry and trade. Representing some of the most prestigious agencies the likes of Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Bosch, Michelin, Elf to name a few . Sheikh Nawaf is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Group and is restructuring the family owned business to face the 21st century.
He is the Founder and Chairman of the Board of Doha Insurance Company. A publicly listed share holding company of QR 120M.
In 2001 Sheikh Nawaf became a Member of the Board of the Qatari Businessmen’s Association. An association founded by his Highness the Amir of Qatar to represent the most prominent and active Businessmen in Qatar. He was awarded Chevalier De L’Ordre National Du Merit as a member of the Qatari-French Business Club.
His backing and support of sports is clear in his role as the Founder and President Qatar Motor Federation, the Founder and President of the Qatar Marine Sports Federation, but he has gathered worldwide recognition for his Pure Bred Arabian Horses .
