Looking for building a Taiwanese trade center in Doha

Within the aim of Qatari Businessmen Association to encourage foreign companies to invest in State of Qatar, consolidated by the emergence of international partnerships with local sectors, Mr. Bassam Massouh had the pleasure to host a special delegation from the Industrial Information Association in Taiwan, headed by the CEO, Dr. Jhy Sheng Ke accompanied with general managers from leading industrial and commercial companies, last Monday 23 January 2006.

The meeting discussed the possibility to establish a Taiwanese regional trade center in Qatar, to promote for the take-off for the Taiwanese industries in Doha, knowing that the Association carries out a pivotal role in the promotion and marketing of the Taiwanese industrial and commercial products in order to raise standards of  productivity and help expanding the economy.

This meeting is a part of several preparatory meetings, preceded by a previous meeting by the end of last year.

Another Taiwanese official delegation is expected to visit Qatar next March, headed by senior government officials on top of high executives from leading corporations. This meeting will aim towards stabilizing this cooperation through the comprehensive development and the economic boom.

Visit of the Minister for Agriculture and Forestry of Western Australia to Qatari Businessmen Association

Qatari Businessmen Association represented by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al-Thani and Mr. Hussein Al Fardan deputy chairman, Mr. Omar Al Mana Board Member, Mr. Sherida Al Kaabi & Mr. Maqbool Habeeb Khalfan & Mr. Abdel Hameed Mustafawi have embraced the visit of the Minister for Agriculture and Forestry of Western Australia Mr. Kim Chance Mlc and the accompanying delegation on Wednesday 18/1 /2006.

The meeting aimed at discussing business opportunities of cooperation and investment between the two countries; In addition to the improvement and reinforcement of the relations between Western Australia and the State of Qatar.

During the meeting, the minister has presented suggestions and project ideas regarding an Australian-Qatari partnership in the human resource training & vocational education.

Moreover the minister declared their appreciation of the strategic vision set by his highness the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.

in its turn, QBA, president and members, welcomed the Australian delegation visit and showed interest around the nature of direct investments and cooperation between the two countries.

Also QBA showed about its desire of the visit of Western Australia and explore its landmarks.

At the end, there was memorial gifts exchange between both parties.

Moreover, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al-Thani invited the minister and the delegation accompanying to visit his museum in Al Shhania and take the dinner on Thursday.
