Association visits the Arab Republic of Egypt |
|
The
Qatari Businessmen Association visits the Arab Republic of Egypt
on 2-6 June 2006. The delegation shears by Sheikh Faisal bin
Qassim Al Thani President of QBA, and included Mr. Hussein
Ibrahim Al Fardan, Vice-President of QBA, Mr. Khalid Al Rabban
member of QBA, Mr. Bassam Ramzi Masoouh General Manager of QBA.
QBA have included trips work a
number of important meetings, including the meeting with the
chairman of Federation of Arab businessmen Mr. Hamdi Al Tabaa to
review preparations for the Arab-Chinese Forum statements and
proposals to be prepared to raise at the meetings of the Forum
so as to Arab States members of the Union to provide the
Secretariat with the subjects they wish to put before the Forum.
As QBA delegation had visited the
headquarters of the of the Arab League &held a meeting with H.E.
Mr. Amre Moussa, Secretary General of Arab League. The meeting
has discus the following subject:
1.
The economic situation of the Arab world and the progress
of minimizing the barriers in the way to Arab Economic
Integration.
2.
The role private sector and civil society institutions in
the meetings of the Arab League.
3.
The priority to deploy Arab investment in the project
privatization in Arab country,
4.
improving the investment climate in Arab countries
H.E. Mr. Amre Moussa called on
all members of the Union of Arab businessmen, including QBA
Members to participate in the US Arab Economic Forum on 26-28
June 2006. |

A reception in honor of the French
delegation |
|
Qatari
Businessmen Association has held special luncheon for French
special delegation on Sunday June 18, 2006 at Doha Sheraton
visit Qatar, the delegation included a large number of
businessmen from various specialties commercial and industries,
the delegation was accompanied Mr. Christian Ponsot Conseiller
Economic & Commercial on French Embassy to Qatar and other
representatives of the French embassy in Qatar.
The meeting
was attended by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al-Thani, the Chairman
of the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA), Mr. Issa Abdul
Salam Abu Issa, Secretary General, Shk. Nawaf Bin Nasser Al
Thani, Board Member of QBA, Mr. Omar Hamad Al Mana, Board Member
of QBA, & the members Dr. Hamad Bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari, Mr.
Sherida Al Kaabi, Mr. Ibrahim Al Neama and Mr. Maqpool Khalfan
and Mr. Mohamed Jaidah Group Marketing Manager at Jaidah Group.
At the
start of the Luncheon Mr. Issa Abdul Salam Abu Issa welcomed to
all gusts, & briefed them the vision and mission of the Qatari
Businessmen Association, & development of the private sector, he
pointed out the importance of this visit was to support and
strengthen relations and trade and economic ties between the
private sectors of the country.
The French delegations express
their gratitude to Chairman and members of the Qatari
Businessmen Association.

of Ambassador of USA Qatari Businessmen Association |

Qatari Businessmen Association has
welcomed the visit of H.E. Mr. Chase Untermeyer Ambassador of United
State of America to Qatar and haled a meeting with him on QBA premises
Monday 12, June 2006.
The meeting was
attended by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al-Thani, Chairman of Qatari
Businessmen Association (QBA), Shk. Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, Board
Member, Mr. Omar Hamad Al Mana, board member, the members Sheikh
Abdullah Bin Ahmad Al Thani, Mr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Mr. Marzooq Al
Shamlan and Mr. Maqbool Habeeb Khalfan, together with Mr. Bassam Ramzy
Massouh, General Manager & Mr. Ahmed El Shaffee, Economist of QBA.
The visit aimed to exchange views on
various topics, including economic issues present in the arena, which
specifically affect the private sector and the impact of those issues on
the economic relations between the United States and the State of Qatar.
Meetings topics included the free trade agreements, the labour laws, the
flow of investments between the two countries, the stock market and
others. |

The US Ambassador,
Mr. Chase Untermeyer presented the viewpoint of the United States of
America on the subject of free trade agreement, the importance of
focusing on increasing the flow of investments between the two
countries, He also confirmed the existence of a distinct commercial
relations between the two countries in the absence of trade agreements
among themselves.
The Chairman &
members of QBA appreciated his Excellency’s visit and presented their
views on various topics. Also they have pointed out to the importance
of having a mechanism or forum that combines American Qatari companies
and (especially small and medium enterprises), to hold meetings to
discus economic and trade issues related to free trade
At the end, H.E. US Ambassador expressed
his pleasure to meet with Qatari business leaders in QBA and announced
his desire to have another meeting in the future in order to discus on
more business topics. |

Qatari
Businessmen Association welcome the visit of special Egyptian
delegation headed by Mr. El-Said Mehriz Khalifa First Secretary
of Ministry of Tourism and Deputy Chairman, of Tourism Promotion
Authority, accompaned by top government officials and business
leaders together with his H.E. Mr. Ahdy Khairat Egyptian
Ambassador to Qatar, on Thursday 1/6/2006 .
The meeting
was attended by Sheikh Faisal Bin Qasem Al-Thani, Chairman of
the Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA), Mr. Hussain Ibrahim Al
Fardan, Deputy Chairman, Mr. Issa Abdul Salam Abu Issa,
