Businessmen Association (QBA) has organized a special luncheon for HE
Mr. Gilles de Robien, French Minister of Equipment, Transports,
Infrastructure, Tourism and Sea at the Ritz Carlton Hotel on Sunday,
November 28, 2004. The French Minister conducted a short visit to Doha,
Qatar and was accompanied by some top French government officials, the
French Ambassador to Qatar, the French Economic and Commercial Attaché
and a number of French key businessmen representing different business
sectors. The main aim of the visit was to set meetings with both Qatari
government officials and private sector leaders in order to discuss
increasing business opportunities and cooperation between the two
countries.
Representing the Qatari business community, Qatar Businessmen
Association’s initiative has resulted in allowing more business
negotiations and to establish a tight business dialogue between
Qatari and French business communities on both scales the joint
ventures and SMEs. QBA’s delegation was headed by Shk. Faisal Bin
Qasim Al Thani, Chairman of QBA, Mr. Hussain Al Fardan, Deputy
Chairman of QBA, Mr. Isaa Abu Issa, Secretary General of QBA and
Shk. Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani,Board Member of QBA. During the
event, the special French delegation declared that they were
impressed of the current Qatari economy’s boost and they appreciated
the pioneer role QBA is playing to develop the private sector,
create promising business opportunities and to attract foreign
direct investment for several projects together with supporting more
economic integration between Qatar and other countries.
