  Strategy

OUR OBJECTIVES

The foundation of the Qatari Businessmen Association stemmed from a necessity to link the State’s strategic plans with those of the Qatari business community. It is capable of simultaneously engineering economic growth and prosperity; and establishing and promoting private sector's activities on both a local and foreign level. To achieve this result the Qatari Businessmen Association has adopted a number of objectives targeting the continuity of development and progress for the Qatari society, and in maintaining its loyalty to the entrepreneurial spirit of local business community. Together, we strive to attain the highest level of the following objectives:

• To establish a channel of communication uniting elite Qatari businessmen and think-tanks by securing intellectual interface and consistency in an effort to contribute and maintain a friendly business and investment environment. To create an attractive economic package in an effort to revive the private sector by sharing an inspiring role within the development of the national economy.

• To implement a pivotal role in monitoring the country’s strategic plans; following elements that will guide the decision-making process; providing responses to challenges; and in issuing appropriate recommendations for the continued development of private sector activities on both the local and international level to ensure economic growth on all echelons of development.

• To effectively contribute to the economic development of the Qatari national economy by improving and upgrading the efficiency of existing resources; acquainting its collaborative efforts, support and pioneering role in individual entrepreneurships within the business and local activities sector; removing obstacles; and enhancing cooperation with government agencies.

• To attract local and foreign investment in Qatar endorsing joint ventures through the identification of strategic projects.

• Drafting and outlining ongoing government economic policies, trends and legislations through technology-driven services and referring them to the country’s supreme authorities.

• Analysing local and global economic market developments, international economic trends and predicting their potential effects on individual business owners, the private sector and the Qatari national economy referring relevant reports to senior political bodies in the state.

• To act as an independent consulting model for the private sector; conveying necessary recommendations to senior authorities, and endeavouring to secure technical assistance in developing a training program to improve and promote work performance of institutions and their members.

• Prepare economic appraisals and reports, conduct field surveys and organize conferences, seminars and other activities related to attainment of QBA’s objectives.

• Participate in seminars, conferences and relevant activities related to the development of local economic and business sectors.
